I’m Phil. I first joined the board in 2002 under the handle Darkhorse, then for many years I was PCGSPhoto during my tenure there. Here’s an outtake of me and my boy during my photoshoot for my GreatCollections headshot last year. I love this kid.
Great picture! And I greatly miss your TrueViews!

Lol. You might want to check his earlier prognostications about the silver and non-privy gold before you jump in bed with him. He's below the Mendoza line.
Just him have his moment though, he’s certainly worked hard enough for it. Say what you will about him, but he’s a man of tenacious principle, and I can admire that.
Thank you for the kind words. Not to say I would be batting 1.000 otherwise, but, in my defense, my misses on the silver and gold non-privys were caused at least in part by the Mint playing games with Product Limits after rapid sell outs upon release.
No way to anticipate that, and still no clear reason for why they did it, since it has never been done before. It cost them significant money for no apparent reason.
This time, there were no moving parts, since they didn't announce 230 and end up auctioning 500 at the last minute. Or 120. They did what they said what they were going to do, and I ended up being right.
It's going to be a long time in coming, but don't be shocked if sets show up in 2026 with whatever they are going to be marketing in their "Best of the Mint" collection that include 25K 2024 silver FH medals and 7.5K gold FH coins.
If not, not, but right now that's the only plausible explanation for them pulling product at the last minute from a maximum mintage that they otherwise could have easily sold. And, as a bonus, if it does happen, maybe @jmlanzaf will have to consider ceasing his snickering at me while recalculating my Mendoza Line. In the meantime, even if I'm 1 for 3, that's .333, not sub .200. 😀
If the Mint all of a sudden cares about supporting the secondary market, someone needs to explain to me what they are doing with 2024 Morgan and Peace Dollars. After seeing what happened with the uncirculated coins, why didn't they pull product from the proofs and reverse proofs?
Maybe because they are not going to be included in sets in the future, so they actually want to sell as many as they can, up the maximum authorized mintage. Even if they can't actually sell nearly that many. So much for supporting the secondary market for their extremely overpriced bullion.
We're good, I hope. You and I have had some battles, but we get along in our own way. At least I hope we both feel that way.

Thanks Dan @PeakRaritiesThere is a lot of extra money out there and it seems to have found something to collect.
All part of the greatest wealth transfer in history. Hard to fathom $84 Trillion dollars being handed down by the Baby Boomers. Has to get spent somewhere.
I had to do a double take when you wrote $84 trillion. It didn't seem possible but running the numbers it is very possible. Incredible!
I agree, and it is spendable cash for many that will get it.
Re: na
I like MANY others have used Executive Coin and have been VERY happy, as have other of my fellow collectors. In fact, I bought coins from other "competitors" after I found out they got a coin I wanted. They were also very nice and were willing to help. Executive has some great coins, nicely graded and their photos leave nothing to the imagination. If the OP wanted "protection" why didn't they use a credit card? That way the coin would have shipped ASAP, the purchase would be covered by the credit card company, there would be a purchase trail and it would help raise their credit score. An all around win. INSTEAD, all we have is a "sour grapes" situation which we can all now see was hot air. TECC wins, OP outed, not to be counted for anything positive in the future. Just my fifty cents.
Re: Uffdah’s RIPPING Journey – Packs and Vending – All Sports and Non-Sports
I like that REA stays open until midnight eastern time for all lots…then close lot-by-lot after midnight. It had been that an auction would close until no lots received a bid…and it would the wee hours of the morning until closing occurred.
Re: Uffdah’s RIPPING Journey – Packs and Vending – All Sports and Non-Sports
I like the REA auctions a lot. They generally have cool stuff listed and I can always find something I want.
I also like them BECAUSE of how their auction closes. It forces me to make a bid and then forget about it instead of chasing it every 2 minutes. It's a nice counter to other auction houses and I like to wake up and discover what I got/didn't get. Always fun but I'm not someone typically obsessing over an item here or there.
Re: What coins will increase in value in the next 5 years?
There's a difference between "increase in value" and "soar".
If I were looking for the biggest % gains, I think I'd look outside the US market.

I guess I get to put up post numbers 298 and 299 in this thread. This coin is not nearly as rare as myriad others in this thread and is not nearly as high grade as so many others and is definitely not nearly as valuable as coin after coin after coin that has been shared, but I like it. For the IHC series I really like RD coins to be in older holders because I believe they are likely going to be more stable overall, and much less likely to show a fingerprint in the future, than newer holdered coins.
100% agree with RED in the old holders!
A fatty with a gold sticker!? That is remarkable! I would be so proud to own that one!
