    Very cool medal. Those thimbles are cool, too. Thing of the past it seems. What is the writing along their bottoms? Company brand?

    Usually. They were often given away as promos for soap companies and such.

    That's a clay marble, isn't it? Not glass?

    So... maybe Civil War era or earlier? I dunno. I do know a lot of the clay marbles are from like the 1850s or so.
