Just wondering if any of the masses have heard from toppsco1lector I made a trade for a psa graded 8 jordan Rc. the day that delivery conf said that it was recived he has not been on this site or responded to emails. I am not accusing him of anything but I am starting to get nervous. He had recived the cards the friday before last. any help could be helpfull thanks. I know it was dumb to make such a big trade for my first trade I must have been blinded The michael jordan RC is my dream card.

He comes and goes. Sometimes he's posting a ton than other times he disappears for a bit.

I wouldnt worry too much yet.

Please update this post in a week so we can see what is going on.

I'm confused. The USPS confirmed that delivery was made to your address? It sucks that he's not responding, but I haven't seen him posting in a while. I think this will end up being a mixup, or the USPS lost the package. Toppsco1lector always struck me as a good guy, although haven't had any dealings with him.

topps collector emailed me and he wanted me to let everyone know that he is sending everybody cards out soon he has been out of town working on a freinds house

I would keep a look out on ebay for the cards, or do you already know his eBay ID? I would also consider contacting a local card shop in his area, to see if they know him personally. Of course if time passes and you continue to have no response, then I would consider contacting the authorities.

I know he had said something about moving somewhere but I don't recall the details. Am I correct in assuming that you never received the Jordan RC he was supposed to send you? I recall that he was posting here frequently in the very recent past. Maybe you can try getting his phone number and calling him to find out what's going on.

Edit: Looks like his last post was around 2/22.

I think Grote is right, I do remember him posting an OT thread in the sports forum asking if someone had a rental property? Or something along those lines, I cant remember the exact details.

I forget the details but he had mentioned going away somewhere to help a friend with some construction on his home I believe.

He goes away every now and again. I wouldnt be too worried, he is a stand up guy and I just dont see him screwing anyone.

Boy thats funny. I have been trying to get a hold of Topps too. I traded an autographed puck for a card. I sent the puck out the day after the trade.(almost 2 weeks ago), have not heard from him since or ever received my card either.

I've been a member of a handful of trading sites on and off since 01 and that name also sounds very familiar to me

Not to alarm anyone but i recall a Shawn something in many of the " bad traders " lists

Im not saying he is that guy, i just find it weird what im reading here and putting 2 and 2 together

Hopefully im wrong and everything turns out ok for everyone

spoke with temple hills PD today- they say file under a civil suit - this guy would have to appear in OUR court or a judgement would be in our favor and he would be liable- sounds interesting

are you saying that he shows up as ONLINE on AOL but doesn't answer messages?

If you have his name and address you might call HIS local PD and explain what might be going on and simply request that they go and make contact with him to see if he is "ok".

I'd have to say I'd be surprised if topps turns out to be a thief. He always seemed very sincere here but I guess you never know anymore these days. I do think it's extremely lame that he hasn't been in contact with any of you to at least say that he's moving, etc. If you don't receive the product or hear from him soon, I'd escalate it to the next level. I hope all turns out OK!

yea- he is online on aol im (including now) and will not answer my messages- I contacted the Prince County courts as well as my local courts and have decided that I will be filing a small claims suit in the amount of 700 on monday morning if my items do not return. I am no longer taking the chance and waiting- I will be in Maryland in April and will be bringing my judgement with me as well as filing another case down there- I will get my money from this guy one way or another...I am also going to file a criminal complaint with my PD Monday morning..anyone who wants to follow suit lmk

Your PD will tell you it's a civil matter more than likely.

File a civil suit in your local court. Do not forget to include your filing fees and expenses related to it.

Also, as I suggested above, contact HIS local PD (Hopefully it's a small friendly one). Explain what is going on and see if they will send someone out to try and make contact with him.

He actually MAY have a good excuse.

I am very sorry to hear this. There's no excuse for him to be screwing you over like that. I wouldn't have thought he was like that, but from what you've described, it doesn't look good at all. Good luck in getting restitution!

There is a big show next weekend in Chantilly, VA,(which looks to be very close to Temple Hills) maybe some CU members attend that show? I won't be able to make it, but I know some of the dealers that will be there, and will send them a list of the cards missing, to see if they are seen there either at a dealer table or coming into the show. You may even want to go to the show website, and contact the promoter with the list, and his name(s), maybe he sets up there.

Yeah, I think its pretty safe to say we got screwed on this deal. The fact that he doesnt respond to any of the inquiries is what pi$$es me off.

dpf, I dont know what makes his clock tick, but as far as I am concerned its over. You guys have more at stake here than I do. Im only out an auto. hockey puck. I dont have the energy to bring this to the next level. Its just not worth it for me. I have done alot of business with board members here, and I have always been satisfied with the transaction as were they. I just dont like to be taken advantage of. I know I have said this before with Garys pack rip, but it really makes me boil getting screwed by another board member. People here are better than that.

I just want to chime in that I'm sorry for what happened to you guys...if Toppscollector really has stiffed you. I provided a reference to StevenJackson39 as I sold a lot to Toppscollector - but never traded w/ him which I did specify in my referral.

I would contact the police in his home town....I've actually had luck doing that before.

If it makes you feel better, I just got f**ked about a month ago on this board for near $1000 dollars. It was this thread. I bought his top 1975 set and 1973 set for $1025 delivered. I received the 1975 set after about a month and it was JUNK. Never did receive the 1973 set yet. I'm working with the police now on it. I'm gonna fry his ass.

Sorry to derail the post but I felt like venting a little.

Yeah, weird thing is, I showed up at his house one time (400 miles from me, I'm kinda crazy like that), seemed like a real nice guy. I met his wife and he has 2 small children. All real nice people. Big fancy house with a Lexus in the driveway. He'd better hope the police solve it because I won't let it go. I'll spend $2000 to chase down my 1973 set and then plant it in his ass.
