this is not about the insane price but the date on this coin.
strange last digit there...like a 1953 over 1957 looking at it (photo effect?)

    i thought it odd looking that "3" of the date
    in a ngc 66 holder too

    to me it doesn't look like a dig or gash...it looks like a straight cross bar atop that 3

    They pounded out lots of cents in the 50's, could be a die chip. those were pretty common around the date and Liberty.

    Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
