  I alerted him to the reality of it being fake. he responded and appeared sincerely appreciative of the information, his feedback is good enough that I have no reason to believe that he is dishonest

  regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything

  well i guess it is plausible that it is just coincidence that ALL the coins he listed were terrible counterfeits (often referred to as chinese fakes and class I at that), even though its never happened to me, not even close. nor has it happened to anyone i've known, even at a distance. i will concur that i'm sure it does happen where someone gets a small group and all are bad and they don't know.
  
  not that it matters because we're not going to know for sure. every argument i use in these situations to defend sellers are the exact same arguments i can use to state that they knew and/or don't care.
  
  i don't want to try and hash it out here as i just wanted to make my statements. at least the items have been ended and i'm very glad. now i just cross my toes i don't see them re-listed in the future.
