Re-Photographed my Collection of Widgets (Mostly Mercury Dime Varieties)...lots of large pics.

My coin photography has recently progressed a little since I have had time to experiment with it over the last couple of weeks. I think my photography improves a bit with each attempt and over the last week I have spent a bit of time on it in order to image the majority of my core collection of widgets. Many of my widgets will make it to the pages of my Mercury Dime Variety book that I am hard at work on. image

Here are a few...

Pop 3/1.

Pop 56/2.
In 2 years the pops have exploded by 10!!! Due to resubmissions I suspect since the + grading came about.
I really doubt there are 56 examples in 67FB. The pops are terribly misleading!

Your images are top shelf keyman64. The dime is like a right of passage, if you can shoot a dime, you can shoot anything.

Thanks. I think I am getting pretty close. I am really proud of a couple of the shots but need to work at it a bit more to gain the almighty consistency.

    Thanks Tony and Rick.

Tony, I ran a thread about a week ago. LINKY
The setup was a bit goofy. I was dealing with two things that were not perfectly flat and squared up, the camera sensor and the coin itself.
Well, I decided to tweak my setup a little, just short of having a copy stand. I will get a copy stand at some point but until then
I think this works just fine for my purposes. I decided to shoot straight down (close to straight down anyway) and have the coin on a small table.
Now the only thing not perfectly square is the camera sensor...a copy stand will fix that one day.
