Heck of a deal... wonder why it has not been snapped up? Personally, I do not collect those series, but still sounds like a good deal. Cheers, RickO

I would think first, what I rather spend my hard earned 275.00 on? Nice morgan, peace, high grade Kennedy, this list can go on. but to each his own!

  • I bought it. Worthless I know. But the fun factor of checking out another 100 coins is worth $1 per coin. The Boxes are worth $5 each. Face value is about $79.21.

So I threw away $70.79. I thought to myself, "would I throw away $70 to get 100 NGC certified coins regardless". And I said, "yes".

    Thanks. image

You're doing it right picking up this stuff for a song ...
What I don't understand is why anyone would pay to have this kind of stuff graded n slabbed in the first place????image

I'm glad someone else got it before I could.
I saw the thread this morning and went to look. I would have likely bought it for giving away to the YNs and my son's classmates.

I don't think it is a good deal-I do not see any actual numerical grades-Just Brilliant Uncirculated. These are just common everyday change coins in slabs.

How much does ngc charge to just grade a coin brilliant uncirculated -without any numerical grade?

Obviously they are all worthless. That goes without saying. image

That's a good deal especially with free shipping! If I was a dealer, I would have snatched that stuff up really quick to look through for varieties etc....THEN put it all in a tupperware box and taken the rest of it to shows to dump at $5 each. A SLABBED COIN FOR $5 IS COOL...at least to kids and whatnot I would think.

For PCGS, it "used" to be that on the 100 coin Bulk Submissions for First Day of Issue, you could ask for those coins which did not meet your minimum grade to be slabbed as BU for I think a nominal fee of $4 or $5? I never took that route since in 2007 and 2008 I could easily tell that after the dust settled on the overall pricing that Prexy Bucks slabbed as BU were money losers.

Unless, of course, you were using them as give aways for advertising and good will.

That's the type of stuff that after I look thru it, I give them away to YN's. The younger the better. I'd get $250 of pleasure seeing all the smiles (and the fathers reminding them to say thank you). image
