Submission Game - Guess Grade? Win Prize. RESULTS/WINNER ANNOUNCED

WindycityWindycity Posts: 3,552 ✭✭✭✭✭
RESULTS ARE IN. See images below with results posted for each coin. Biggest surprise, the 1953 FrankLin... graded PROOF 66... not mint state. Thought this coin looked odd but it is not a highly reflective proof... more like a satin finish. Biggest disappointment, the 1941-S Walker... looks 65 in hand. Winner, throwing out the 1953 Proof Franklin, Frankiefanatic. Send your address via private message, and I will send the Peace Dollar.

Here are pics of six coins I am considering submitting. I will submit all coins but I am looking for opinions about yes or no on that decision to submit and your guess on final grades. Closest guess will receive a circulated Peace Dollar. Will submit via slow boat so it will likely be late February before results are posted.

Machine doubling on the reverse? Particularly on the "F" in "oF" and the "E" in "AMERICA"? Or would this be die erosion?

Do you mean economy service level where coins don't get plus'd? So don't guess any pluses?

From the pictures I would send the 2 S mint coins and forget the rest. Both Franklins look to be 64 at the best. The 53 should get killed for slide marks/hairlines or whatever people want to call them here.

I would send in the 36-S Washington and the 53 Franklin; the other quarters don't appear to be worth the expense and the other halves could all be AU58s.
