1901/18 Liberty nickel?

I just picked up another Liberty nickel on Ebay tonight and it looks like the 9 in the date is over an 8. Again, I can find no documentation on this variety. I'm just guessing that doubled dates and varieties are common among this series? Either that, or I just have incredibly good luck at finding them. 
Does this look like the 9 is stamped over an 8 to you? Sorry the photos aren't more clear. They are the ones from the Ebay auction.

Nice pick-up ... I was watching that one too. I think it's a RPD ... not an overdate ... I can see traces of the 19 and 0, although I agree the 9 is farily dramatic.

It doesn't exactly resemble any of the ones illustrated in the Flynn/Van Note book.
It is not a 9 over an 8.
