The sellers responses to all his neutral feedback are hilarious!!
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. Will’sProoflikes
.....Entertaining. I have nothing up at the moment and not one of his/her "feedback" behaviors or I would not be amused ....Looks like someone is making use of this buyers account, for whatever motive. Blocked of course.
Soon a seller won't be able to leave a neg for those neutrals. Although I think that was overblown retaliatory FB anyway, and should've just been answered with another neutral.
We won't even be allowed to give neutrals soon, will we?? Dang.
edited to add a word my fingers missed the 1st time.
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.
Reading that thread, I found the below....first time I have heard of this:
"A neutral feedback counts as 0.66 points against a seller's "Buyer Dissatisfaction Rating" kept by eBay. When this rating reaches a certain point, a member can be temporarily restricted for selling activity or suspended. "

Here's how I see it: The sellers think he's lost the coins. I think he's saying he can't remember what he bought from who so he's just leaving neutral thinking it means not bad, not good. he did this all in about a 2 hour period, probably got tired of e-mails asking him to leave feedback. So he thought he'd found a solution, not realizing how offended people are by neutrals. My guess is he's learned his lesson.
He should stop storing his coins outside, on the porch, under the big neon 'I'm a coin collector!' sign...

A neutral counts as 66 percent of 1 point that can add up to hurt the seller ? That's odd I guess ebay wrote the dictionary , too.
I was under the impression NEUTRAL meant neither against , nor for. Impartial.

Where'd you get this?
I did a search on Feedback points and came up with:
<< <i>What is Feedback and how does it affect my reputation?
Feedback is made up of comments and ratings left by other eBay members you've bought from and sold to. These comments and ratings are valuable indicators of your reputation as a buyer or seller on eBay. They are included, along with an overall Feedback score, in your Feedback Profile.
How it works You receive:
+1 point for each positive comment and rating left for you.
0 points for each neutral comment and rating left for you.
-1 point for each negative comment and rating left for you. >>
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
A neutral counts as 2/3's when calculating for seller non performance restrictions. Once the new feedback policy is fully implemented, it will be counted the same as a neg and calculated in as part of the positive feedback percentage.

What a nut!

He must be one of those folks that 'blame society'. Simply amazing; will wonders never cease! Thanks for the laugh, painful though it is.
You weren't involved in that one directly or did I not look closely enough?

<< <i>Why all the negatives for his neutral feedbacks?
Yeah, what's up with that? I thought the buyer's job was done as soon as he made payment, and a positive feedback rating was deserved.
Right?
We won't even be allowed to give neutrals soon, will we?? Dang.

You think eBay has people that look at that stuff?
Thanks for the warning Russ!
Might be a good deal...feedback like that should bring exceptionally low bids and he has PayPal protection.
Somehow, I don't feel lucky enough to bid on this cudnut's auctions. Not enough coin karma built up, i'm afraid.

Russ, how do you find time to find stuff like this?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

"U WON. I SHIPPED. U LOST. U LEFT ME INCORRECT F/B. HERE IS YOURS. RETALIATION"
I thought leaving retalitory feedback was an ebay no no?
Edited to add: I think the sellers were out of line to leave negs as they should have left neutrals. Shouldn't they?
Granted the buyer is a dolt!
