  The Columbia Sesqui was one of my least favorite commems, until reading this thread.

  I always found this to be an unusal design in the classic commem series; mostly due to the Palm Tree on the reverse...seems out of place.

  I have been hunting for a nice raw Columbian -- I like the Palmetto Tree on the reverse. They are hard to find raw, though -- I may have to break down and buy a slabbed one.

  The design for the Columbia SC Commem features a unique element in the absence of a blindfold for justice.

  I put on a track & field (distance running) clinic there about 2 years ago . . . beautiful area and great restaurants. I thought about my SC Commem when I was near the coast and saw those palmettos.

  Outstanding post, served from 85 to 88 at Shaw AFB and spent alot of time in Columbia and around the State your pics bring back some good memories
