    Hmmm - I have the unique gold medal. The design is interesting in that it very closely resembles Morgan's sketches for a proposed Union that year...

    Those are the gilt ones, the one pictured is solid gold.

    Wow, thats some piece of history there. Julian had a nice writeup in his book about the gold medal. Thanks guys for sharing the pics of the US Centennial pieces.
