Where's the pic of the reverse?

    Notice two things:

1]The black 3d crud around LIB... almost always a sure sign of AT (Hard to see in this pic unless you enlarge it)

2]You can actually see where a liquid pooled in front of the portrait. See the toning line that mirrors the relief of the portrait a couple millimeters into the field in front of the nose & lips?

3] You would not know this from looking at this pic, but the seller of this coin has an ebay store and 80% of the coins in the store all have tone very similar to this one. Maybe he should rename his store "Doctors Office".

...could you saturate and enhance the color several fold so the coin

looks as it did when the coin was posted for sale on these boards ?

I see the liquid-like pooling that is mentioned. But I see that on amateur dipped Morgans too, where the dip isn't washed off entirely. It shows up especially if they're stuck in the window to retone (I tried it on a rare VAM that looked stupidly white)

I'd guess these are dipped and retoned coins--even maybe a sunlight 2 week job to hide the dipping. Definately not typical Cellophane mint set toning IMHO.

Looks NT to me. At the very least, it's "market acceptable".

It looks like dull, natural toning to me......

The black 3d crud around LIB... almost always a sure sign of AT

I don't understand this at all....

Certain doctoring processes leave 3 dimensional (raised areas) of blackish debris adhering to the coin.

One more thing, though you cant see it in my crappy pix, this coin exhibits "the haze" that often accompanies accelerated toning.

No, its NT, or market acceptable as stated by Shamika.
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

So, BM, did you AT it yourself? Did you see it ATed?
Or, are you just going by known "tells"?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
