Well, I think this years are all good. I've only seen the CA in hand so far and I really like that design. I've also discovered that since I moved to the east, I see a lot more state quarters in circulation than I ever did in San Diego.

I agree that 2005 is the best set of five so far. The only real detraction is the little SO on the MN quarter -- take that off and you've got a winner.

When I get my proof sets I like to take them to work and give people a 'preview' of the remaining quarter designs for that year. A lot of people like the Oregon quarter. I personally like WV.

Raised in Kansas and still like them Buff's. A family friend when I was a kid had one as a pet.

    Kansas

A clean simple design without extra text.

I'm kind of partial to the West Virginia coin. I say this because, as a teenage, I managed to sneak onto the New River Bridge construction site in the middle of winter to do some of my own "bridge inspection." At the time, the arch was complete but the road deck was only a few hundred feet from each end. A cat walk was built and in place leading from one end to the other complete with safety nets. Being brave (and stupid) kids we walked accross. Since it was in the middle of winter on a weekend, and still very remote, the entire area was deserted. On the other end of the bridge one of the main support beams had an access doorway open and naturally we went inside! If we would have had flashlights with us we would have gotten into all sorts of trouble. When I saw that West Virginia had chosen the New River Bridge for their coin I was was really excited.

California is a great design too. Back in 1984 I climbed to the top of Half Dome. Let's see, I've been to the St. Louis Arch too. I'll have to look through the whole set and see how many places depicted on the coins I've been too. Makes coin collecting even more fun!

I like the Oregon Crater Lake quarter quite well, but I'm also partial to the WV quarter, because I live in WV.

The 2006 South Dakota Buffalo quarter will kick serious ass if chosen.

You're in the minority. But it's a three way tie for 2,3,4.

Geez the Oregon quarter is appropriate...the big void between Washington and California ... a big crater image No offense to anyone living in Oregon. image

No dud designs this year. They're all nice. I voted for Oregon 'cause I like the Crater Lake design.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

I voted for CA. They all have nice outdoor/wilderness themes but I've been to Yosemite and Muir Woods so they remind me of some fun vacations.

Kansas is my least favorite. I like the new Buffalo nickel but enough already....

My wife just walked in. She votes for West Virgina purely on design but I can't place two votes in the poll.

I voted for Minnesota because I'm a native, and felt it was my duty. image

Also, I haven't caught a walleye in so long, that little boat is looking good to me....

    Kansas! Kansas! Kansas!

    Beats my previous favorite, Connecticut.

The one and only time I visited Crater Lake I almost hit a bobcat while driving out of the park.

I can't believe anybody would vote for the West Virginia quarter. They should have put a trailer under the bridge with an old washing machine on the porch and dog under it. Just about anything would have been better.

I like the West Virginia because of the way the bridge spans the reverse. I think it looks simple but nice. If the Kansas didn't have the sunflower I'd go for it.

I voted for Kansas (and I live in California) ... I like the other California design (with the gold panning guy) more than the one used.

Wow! The overnight crowd came out strong for West Virginia, and it's now closing on Kansas for the top spot. The Left Coast has been relegated to fighting for third place. Minnesota, home of the other governor to come out of the movie "Predator", has secured its place in last -- they should never have tucked that SO onto it.

I voted for OR. Figured that I'd better since I live in the county where Crater Lake is. Coin doesn't do it justice.

Had to vote for Oregon. Its tooo bad the coin does not dipict the crystal clear blue water that is in Crater Lake. The West Virginia coin looks a whole bunch like the Crooked River Gorge in Oregon. Possible copy job ???....image

    I voted for the Oregon.

I like the Kansas but i personally think they ruined it with the addition of the flowers. image

They should have gone with a slightly more profiled Bison view.

The proposed South Dakota 2006 is the perfect view in my opinion. image

On the SD quarter the grass beneath the buffalo looks like hashbrowns. Mmmm.

It's a nice buffalo, but with the Kansas quarter and the new nickels I'm about buffalo'd out. My vote would be for Crazy Horse, but I don't think that was even considered.
