I showed this coin off at work just after the newspaper article ran, and ended up striking up a conversation with a nice lady who is now my wife.
So as you can imagine, the sentimental value of this coin far outweighs even its historical/archaeological significance, let alone its modest monetary value.

So you found a coin, and it's been taking your money ever since... hmmm...
Mike, that depends. NGC said PR66 twice and PCGS said 65. It is currently at PCGS for crossover. It is all there for a 66. The reverse is even more vibrant and stunning,
it still has to be this one. you don't find these in this incredible golden-copper to often...it's an early pic and deserves an update! I'll get around to it!
<< <i>Just bought this one today! Will submit it when it gets here. Hoping for at least 66Rd >>
MikeJessie1, if you bought this coin and the 1911 from eBay seller "Numiscent" (which, from the look of the photos, it appears you did), you may want to save your grading fees and return the coins if you can. This seller is notorious for whizzing and/or re-coloring Lincolns, and he will not take returns after your coins get "bodybagged" by PCGS.
A few months back, a forum member had 4 coins purchased from "numiscent" get bodybagged: Link
Hopefully you can get your money back or cut your losses from the two coins you purchased.
cornhusker, I do thank you for your comments, and when the coin does come back (the 1911) I will post the grade. Or the body bag. But I took coin in hand under a 30x loup and looked very long and hard at that coin. If it does come back in a body bag, then I will have learned a lesson. we shall see. I know that sometime back he did sell some coins that were cleaned, and he stated that on the auction sight, yet some people posted feedback that they could not believe he had sold cleaned coins to them.
Mike Jessie - In the world of grading your 1911 and your 1909 are known as "pumpkins".A word to the wise is that if looks to good to be true ..........then it probably is
Lee G - Your 1882 Indian cent has been ammoniated.Another word is burnt.I don't care if its in a holder or not.I would return it to PCGS under their guarantee
Perhaps someone can e mail Chuck at Coppercoins.com and he can post some superb photos of Red copper
Numismatist (Ron) I love your red and green coins especially the proof 1903 cent

That one is my favorite because of it's history. I bought it as an NGC MS64RB.
Sent for cross with a minimum grade of MS63RB - DNC.
Cracked out, submitted raw - Bodybag, altered surfaces.
Resubmitted - MS65BN, pop 1/0.
