Does this have a shot for a PSA 8?

I picked up this 1964 Rose hoping for a PSA 7 but once it arrived it looks like maybe an PSA 8. Let me know what you think.

No wrinkles, that scratch mark is in the image when they printed this card. It is in every 64 Rose card that I have seen.

Is that a scratch on the card or is it from the scanner (to the right of Pete's hat near the border)? Also, the bottom right corner may keep it out of a "8" holder. Still a very nice pickup. GOOD LUCK!

8's in this card are very very tough...Centering, left corner, back top edge, print dot on hat...probably a 7-7.5....but still a nice card...just tough due to centering, focus, and that mark on the negative which looks like a scratch.

I'll go 7.5, but I could see it going 8. Either way it's still a great looking card and the front centering is really good for that issue.

Looks like an "8" to me assuming it doesn't have any surface issues. Sharper than most 1964 Rose cards you see in a Psa 8 holder.

does PSA take the rub-off box into consideration when grading? I have a nice Killebrew that I want to send in but the box has been rubbed.

I have 8s that are rubbed off but I don't think they will give a 9 to a card that has the cartoon exposed.

nice card. Not to be picky or anything but it looks like there are touches on the top right and bottom left corners. Some inconsistency on the left edge. Did you miss any surface scratches?

IMO the 1964 Pete Rose card is 10X more appealing than the four head 1963 rookie card.

I'd say 50/50 shot at an 8.....but you'll at least get the 7 you were hoping for. That's enough to be happy about when a card like that shows up....anything above that is icing on the cake!

Great card, congrats! I always wished this was Rose rookie. The 64 looks so much better than the 63.
