Wow, I usually do not have a "numismatic goal of the week", but this will be a big week for me.
I am presenting a coin seminar on PL and DMPL Morgans for my coin club tomorrow. After nearly 3 years, it will be my last coin meeting with the Frederick coin club because I am moving to South Carolina. It will be the last time I preside as president for the club. It is sad to be leaving, but I must move for a new job. The good new is the club will be in good hands with the new president Rick who is also on the PCGS message board.
I hope to get the new Renaissance of American Coinage book this week!

Checking in with my progress report, Joe. Added 1 coin to the submission form today, took the raw images and uploaded them to hosting site, slipped it into the 2-1/2x2-1/2 saflip™, labeled it, and decided which coin to add tomorrow. That's it from here, Joe.

My goal this week is to get out detecting for the first time since spring, and hopefully dig an Indian cent or Barber dime again. Or some early Wheaties, even. Heck, anything moderately interesting, numismatic or not.
To get my Amero's in the mail from Daniel Carr (wonder if he mailed them yet??)

I accomplished part of my goals last week. I spent the latter part of the week opening some rolls and picking out some better widgets to put in 2"x2" cardboard flips. (Roosevelt dimes) Then I listed some stuff on ebay , even opened a store. ... for next week, I hope to submit 8 coins to PCGS and a couple of "mechanical errors" that I'm sure PCGS will happily fix, and am hoping to add a Gold coin to my registry set. (when it arrives, I'll post it here)... So what are your Numismatic goals for the week of September 24th, 2007 ?
To sell a little more than I buy. To make a little more money than I spend. To learn something I didn't know. To teach somebody something that they didn't know.
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
Finish my periodic re-examination and re-evaluation of my Lincoln set, and updating the inventory list as needed. I made a bunch of low-dollar ($2-20) acquisitions a few months ago to upgrade the 34-58 short set and haven't had the chance to add them in or take a good long look at the whole set since.

<< <i>Well, I got started on my gold page for my 7070 (great timing HUH?) and I started a Kookaburra set. >>
Kookaburras! That's a fun set to build. I was trying to get all of the kangaroos but was getting frusterated 'cause I didn't want to deal with sellers in Australia.

To finish the fixed-price section of my site, get the advertising placed, and finish the bug-swatting...

I set high goals and never fret when they don't come to be, but it's always fun to dream.

What is a roll of AU/BU 1949 D Roosevelt dimes worth ? I haven't opened them, it just says that on the outside roll.

At midweek I took every coin I own to a local dealer for the purpose of selling my collection.
So now I am just sitting and waiting for an offer. He said he'd be in touch by Friday the 28th.
If his offer is acceptable I can pick up the check the same day or come get the coins the next day.
You are getting rid of all of them ? I didn't see mention of what you're selling, but I can't keep up with everyone.
Joe
P.S. You're right, the week of the seventeenth isn't over yet
