A HUGE rare date gold coin is offered at DWN

These are usually sold at auction and rarely seen in dealer inventories. At one time, it was my dream coin but I satisfied myself with a more modest 70-CC $5.
Post your 70-CC $20, if you have one (of the 40 or so).

Or just post your CC gold coin.

now THAT'S a tough date/mm set! only bested by perhaps the 1854-S (both play second fiddle to 1870-S however)

<< <i>That's pretty cool to see a coin that important on Doug's website. The image is pretty nice. The color is appealing. I wonder if he owns it outright or if it is a consignment. >>
Why does this matter? Not judging at all, just wondering what conclusions would be drawn from knowing this----------------BigE
I give away money. I collect money.

Here is my lone CC gold coin. It is a very coppery PCGS MS-63. The funny thing I'm attracted to the gold dollars through the five dollar gold pieces. The $10 and $20 gold coins are not nearly as interesting to me. I don't know why.
