OK, I haven't had a giveaway for a while, so I've decided to have a giveaway for YN's.

My definition of YN's for this giveaway is as follows: A forum member 18 years of age or younger, or a forum members son or daughter 18 years or younger!

Just post your name here if a Member YN or post your son or daughters entry here. I'll draw on sunday March 20th at 8 PM Eastern Time!

Ok, here is what I'm giving away. Two coins. First name drawn gets choice.

Great giveaway, Ken. Please do NOT enter my son, Jack, this time, as he was the winner of your previous YN giveaway. This thread was a good opportunity to publicly thank you again. (Unfortunatley, he likes the big, shiny Kennedy you sent at least as much as his worn out buffalo nickels. imageimage )

Hi Ken, My 2 year old son, Evan, has actualy taken interest. He started by taking coins out of his bank and putting them back in the slot, again and again. And again, etc...
Then when he saw me putting coins in a album, he wanted one. I gave him an old push-in cent album and he loves popping in the coins (in no particular order of course).
Maybe his interest will grow as he does!

I'm trying to get my 5 1/2 year old daughter interested. She'll notice me looking at coins and sometimes take a look, then ask "Are you looking at coins again?" Is she jaded already? I'm trying to find something that might catch her interest. I kinda like that proof you're giving away. Very striking. Since it's a lady, it might appeal to young girls.
  • Great giveaway, Ken! image

My daughter, Meghan, has recently become interested in coins. She's working on some circulated Lincoln sets and the statehood quarters.

Please count my 11 year old son in. He's started his own collection and has gone to a couple of coin shows with me in the last year. At the last show he earned his own money doing extra chores and came out with about a dozen coins (mostly darkside).

    Thanks,

Please enter my two sons aged 10 and 7 (as one entry is fine, they can each have one of the coins). Hope you don't mind but I'd rather not put their real names on a public forum, so we'll just call them... uh... Stinky and Stretch

    Thanks

What fun! I have a 7 year old who is interested in coins, though I fear I may have and Alex Keaton on my hands. My 2 year old is at the 'steal any coin he can get his hands on and put in his piggy-dragon-bank' stage. Thank you!

Please enter my daughter who will turn six nest month. She's started a collection of "squashed pennies" from places we have been. She also has gone to a few local shows with me and always picks up a few coins from the bargain bins. Whenever I get a new coin in the mail she wants to check it out. She's even started looking at the coins now instead of just the holograms. image

I have an 18 month old who loves coins. I don't beleive he is a true collector, but rather a hoarder.
I'll be going through my coins, and he'll grab a slab, take it over to a spot, leave it there, come back and get another one. This process continues until he has moved all coins to his neat little pile. Yep, he's a hoarder. image
I've actually started a type set for him.

    Ken,

My oldest son, Jacek, is 3 1/2 and very into coins. He has a state quarter collection and of course a Lincoln cent book and loves to read the dates on them and count how many coins are "missing." He is very into numbers and the dates on coins fascinate him.

I picked up a sample slab California state quarter for him at the Baltimore show and he slept with it Saturday and Sunday!

Please enter him in you giveaway.

    Thanks
