I see it more as an O.113, not the "a" die state, as it's missing the FULL crack from the edge to the leaves toward the claw and CA of the O.113. I don't see the additional cracks listed for the "a" state. Nevertheless, I think it might grade and it will come in at a higher grade than most specimens.
For fun, here's the O.113 I pulled off of ebay a few years back, if anything just to compare the cracks.
I've not submitted this coin or any other yet. Just keeping them all raw until I've got the time and funds to go through all of that fun. I consider it to be an EF 40, retoning after a light cleaning. Yeah, it was probably 2008 or so when I found it and grabbed it, then posted it for comments. It is one of my favorite coins. It has some luster remaining in the devices. I'm jealous for your find, though. I'm hoping it will grade for you. I suspect it will - it's a reaaaaaally nice coin.

I don't, but I have O.114. What makes this coin special is that it's a "prime" die state which no die cracks on either side. Most of the examples I see sold as "O.114" have some form of die cracks on the reverse, which means they're really "O.114a". To be a true O.114, the coin must have no die cracks.

Very important coin in this grade in a PCGS holder. The die marriage was unknown in mint state until Matt at NFC found one in PCGS MS62 in 2013. I believe there are three in lower grades of AU that are holdered at PCGS now. This wonderful; cherry should be worth $3500 to $4000 if auctioned in the appropriate venue such as a Sheridan Downey die marriage auction. CC: I think is MS62, AU55, AU53, AU50 then XF for this very sticky rare die marriage and grade level rarity.
Its really a terrific find and appears to be near perfect for grade. Congrats!!
One of a bevy of tough 1809 die marriages. If anyone has an O-114 in AU or better I'd appreciate if you would reach out to me. Its the one I need to get all the die marriages into AU graded holders at PCGS.
Sounds about right. Maybe an R6 for the 113 and R6- for the 113a. One of the few true R5's left (being honest, many of the other R5's are probably R5- to even R4+ by now)
