Re: Ebay's NEW Return policy - May 2012
It would be nice if ebay either tracked returns or allowed feedback removal on those transactions. Scammers would like this too I guess. My understanding is that some scammers build up a bunch of positives before they turn to the dark side and lure people in with false positives. With returns, they could build up a track… -
Re: guy selling 1907 pr69 $20 St. on ebay with no reserve. please help get his account shut down.
Yep, ebay scammer 101...sell some lower priced items, build some positive feedback, then come in for the kill with higher priced items, take the money and run. I don't know if the scammer realizes it or not, but I think PayPal will hold this money for at least 21 days before releasing it...again, I'm not sure about that.… -

Re: I'm really negative about the hobby right now. Thinking about getting out completely.

I hope you can find reasons to stay. I used to get bothered by scammers (not scamming me but other people) and all the other shady things in the hobby but remembered (as previously mentioned) it's everywhere. All hobbies have issues and if your positives dont outweight the negatives....I hardly sell anything and choose my… -
Re: Absolutely hilarious new eBay imposter

It's Christmas shopping time and the $$$'s getting tight at the home of the scammers, thus, these fraudulant emails, escalating to higher plateaus I might add. "It's beginning to look alot like Christmas, evvvvvvvvvvery where you goooooooooo!" Desperate times call for drastic measures, even for the scammers. In addition,… -
Re: Paypal to offer cashback for NOT using credit cards
Sounds like a deal to me. You get ripped off $1000 from a scammer. Paypal investigates and asks the scammer for your money back. Your money can't be recovered and since you didn't use a credit card to fund the purchase you'll stay ripped off for $1000 unless Paypal pays you back with their own money. The good news is that… -
Another ebay story...
I tried selling a 1/4 ounce gold philharmonic last week on ebay. Nothing special. I realized shortly after that the buy it now price was probably too high, but I didn't need to move it right away. Just wanted some extra cash for future student loan payments. So it was kind of a red flag when this guy buys it within 24 hrs… -

Re: i love the answers people get for there ? for this card. especially # 3
agent6wo ( 2 ) Member since: Feb-13-05 When I see IDs like this I wonder why only 2 feedbacks for an account that's 4 years old??? Do scammers set up a whole bunch of accounts all at once, then use them one after another as they get busted or mysteriously go NARU? I'm not saying it's a scam, but you see a lot of scammers… -
