Re: BBCE prices out of line perhaps? 1987/88 Fleer Basketball
<< <i>is it really worth the hassle to search this box? >> Are you asking if it's worth it to search a box that sells for $1000 to $660?? Ummmm, I would think any scammer would search this box, yes. Until you experience what it's like on the crappy end of a $500 resealed junk wax box, I would keep an open mind about the… -
Re: FS/T 1967 Topps Mantle PSA 7
<< <i>I wasn't hating, I was trying to help identify a problem that was with the case and not the card. BTW, the new scan is a BIG improvement! >> Lol I kid. It is good that a card will be posted and 5 critical responses appear within 15 minutes it prevents scammers and promotes integrity. This is a good card and I will… -
Re: Does anyone remember the Hendrixkat tooth scam?
Must've been before my time, but I did a quick search in the archives and found quite a few posts that brought me up to speed. I do remember that we had our own version of scammer on this board a few years back - very similar MO. Should that person ever resurface, I will be posting a similar warning, I can tell you. -
Re: Nasty Identity Theft Attempt on E-Bay....
I use ebay toolbar and they have a button called "Account Guard" that turns green when you are on a legit ebay/paypal site. If it turns red, you can click it to report the fraud. It's not bad for peace of mind when on ebay. Until.. I wonder when the scammers are going to figure out how to trick the Account Guard button… -
Re: 1968 Nolan Ryan PSA 9 -- not!
See, "1968 Ryan PSA 9" pulled mudflap into the thread. Proof that advertising works, even if it's false! 'flap, maybe you're right and he's a sucker trying to recover his money, and so the wheel turns. Life's a b*tch and eBay even more so. You get scammed, you try to get even with the scammer... not turn around and scam… -
Re: Being scammed on ebay! - Should I make this guy suffer!
<< <i>Three days later I got a fed ex with a money order for the difference + 10%. Moral of the story is that most scammers eventually get whats coming to them. >> To be honest, even after receiving the $$$, I wouldn't drop the complaint. Based on this guy's track record, he would use Paypal to scam others. And why would… -
Re: Counterfiet Coin
The seller is not an obvious scammer. Just a person who sells things they buy at local auctions. You should honor your contract and not make them refund your money if they do not wish to do so. Maybe they will give you your money back. But if they do it will be because they want to do that. I dont think you can legally… -
Re: Please help me!!!!!!
I would contact the bank that sponsors your debt card and tell them you were a victim of fraud. They may be able to do a "claw back" and get your money back. If you are making scheduled monthly payments, they should be able to stop them. If they are not willing to help you I suggest that you close the account that your… -
I'd like to punch this seller
Well apparently he's got a crap load of these. Printing them out and I've seen a couple already for sale by others as the REAL deal. His Gretzkys all have the yellow dot on the left shoulder which he told me over email and the back is slightly darker. These are very good fakes except the edges are all smooth. Scammers will… -
Re: As a seller, I no longer leave feedback for Buyers unless they leave feedback first.
In the beginning, for those too young to remember, eBay was a community and you were unable to purchase items from sellers with good ratings if you had zero or negative ratings. This protected both parties because it enabled trustworthy buyers to purchase from trustworthy sellers. Now it’s just a free for all with scam…
