Re: MS70 Silver Dollar misaligned
On the one hand, you ordered an MS70 SE and that is what you got. On the other hand, it sounds like it will always bug you. I guess it depends on how much it cost and whether its worth the trouble and cost to return/exchange it. (In my opinion any return and reshipment should be at your expense), (Just wait until it… -
Re: US Mint Question
It may be apostasy, but for very modern mint stuff, why not just open them? You are unlikely to get a premium for sealed boxes on most of those things. For a lot of them, you'll get less. I mean, how many of you would buy a silver eagle that you didn't know if it had milk spots or not? Have you tried calling the mint? -
Re: I can't believe no proof gold/silver eagles for another year.
<< <i>Hmm, Russia, China, Canada, Australia - they are not running out of blanks. This really is an invented problem. The real blanks are the fools running the US mint. >> Hey! I resemble that remark. Do you think Russia, China et al can get milk spots to stick on their bullion coins like the U.S. Mint can? I - don't -… -
Re: o.k. new can of worms: Is a dipped coin mint state.
Dipping seesm to have less reaction with proof than MS coins. Try not to dip MS coins, as they do ahve a slightly different look, but almost undicernable. Prrof coins with "stuff" on them need to be dipped, or the "stuff" keeps eating into the coin's surface. Milk spots won;t grow and can't be taken off proofs. If you know… -
Re: What do you think of this 1993 SP Derek Jeter PSA 10 auction?

I was going to let this go but I can't. Here is my opinion... This seller does not have the card. He stole the scan from here... LINK The dead give away is the white spec of dust on the front of the card lower left just to the right of the K on NEW YORK. not to mention the spot visible in the middle edge on the bottom of… -

Re: Looking for direction on collecting early American coins
I have collected early U.S. coins (1792 to 1807) since the 1970s. As a collector in my 20s with a limited budget, I used to buy about two coins a year. If your goal is to make money in the short to medium term, pick something else. I’ve held coins for 50 years and could get 4 to 6 times what I paid, but if you look at… -
FS: ASE proofs - 2020 and 2021 -

2020 to 2021 was the transition from type 1 to type 2 and I have all coins from both years … proof, reverse proof, business strike, etc. all include OGP and COA but they are in a 3rd party holder that fits in NCG boxes and makes it easy to view them / etc., as opposed to keeping all in boxes. I will include these holders.… -
Re: FUN show parking cost!

Tampa Convention Center Daily Parking in the covered parking garage is $15. Take the show back to Tampa! For the folks that do not understand the gripe: 1. $10 for mannnny years and now more than doubled for no added benefit and it's not like there is a shortage of parking spots. 2. When I paid for parking, I asked the…
