HMM...milk spots and hairlines? Most of the time when I get a batch of "unopened" proof sets that have some AHs in them, the coins "coincidentally" turn out to be junk. Not that I'd be hinting that these sellers would be less than completely honest about the "unopened" status of the sets they sell. Russ, NCNE -

I have never heard of a CAC sticker hurting the value of a coin. If you like a piece enough and plan on keeping it is always a good ego boost to get the bean. If anything, it validates you spotted a good example of the series. If the downside is $16.50 and shipping, and that takes milk off your table, then do not do it. -

The 1866-s 25c in the rattler MS66 holder is one I used to own back in the late 1980's. I owned it for $14K. Today I'd be surprised if it went under $75K and possibly over $100K. It's clean enough to be a MS67 all day long. The one obvious carbon spot does detract and might hold it back. That larger spot was not there in…
