<< <i>Just out of curiousity and i know this is a world forum, but why did they have such poor strikes on those?? >> The Connecticut coinage was not like the coinage of a government mint. This was a contract coinage being executed by a private company. the more coins they made the more money they made. This is one factor… -
Re: I paid $12 for this!!!! You like It?
<< <i>Ok, who's Troy Wiseman? >> Beats me - I googled! He's B.U.M.! Re: U.S. MINT PHILADELPHIA - U.S.A.
Sorry @Weiss815, but I can't buy into the concept that these pieces were struck in the 1940s to assist in gold ownership. Re: Qualification for first strike designation?

<< <i>Send David Hall an email and ask what it means. He should know. >> Good idea. I often forget how accessible he's made himself, unlike most top executives (of other companies). I'll do more Googling before I bother him and then perhaps an email will be in order. More on this later. This is perhaps one of those PCGS… -

But as soon as 2 exist, it's not really that interesting. >> So far they have made 5 and a teletrade affilate has purchased three of them. << <i>A-Mark Precious Metals, a Teletrade affiliate… -
