Re: Wow. Just wow. eBay has restricted PWCC’s selling privileges and listings effective immediately
^ agreed. after shipping next day air, obtaining signature confirmation & getting took for $2k all while the scammer lost his ebay case, recanted his story, did a bank dispute and ebay left me holding the bag w losing my card, paying to have it shipped/stolen and the reimbursing the guy w the money sucked outta my account,… -
Re: Paypal phishing scam discovered
The basic problem with picking up a "junk call" on the phone, is that the receiver gets placed on a scammer "cream list" of sorts meaning there's a live one on the end of the line to solicit. Then you wind up getting more and more of these calls. If you don't recognize the caller ID, then never, and i do mean never pickup… -
Re: Altered Cards and a Concerned Hobbyist
People use PSA because they TRUST them. That's why GEM or GAI etc no longer are worth anything...no one trusts them. Thats why their slabbed cards have value...people believe in them. Its not right to just say "oh well, the scammers are better than psa, its not psa's fault". The reason for using PSA is the trust and belief… -
Re: Lincoln uncirculated dollar now "sold out"!!! watch what happens now PROOF also sold out/
<< <i>"It always surprises me why one group always wants to make rules for another group..." The "rule" would apply equally to all groups. That way the hoggish would bear some responsibility for what they are buying instead of picking the cream and dropping the lower end stuff back on the smaller guys who get left with the… -
Re: Counterfeit Bust Dollar for sale on eBay by Savabbah "estate" seller
<< <i> << <i>There is much more positive feedback than negative. I wouldn't be afraid to bid on something I thought was real. Estate sellers know a little about a lot of things but often have holes in their knowledge. My dad used to make good money at estate sales by knowing more about the merchandise than the seller did.… -

Re: Even MORE FAKE ENGELHARDS
<< <i>How the heck does one hijack an account anyway? I guess they are on the information superhighway and I am on the information cul de sac! >> Phishing - phoney email that asks you to log into your account from a link in the email. Logging in sends your log in info directly to the scammer who sent you the email. He can… -
Re: Big Ebay seller wants to do transaction off Ebay
<< <i>You agree to ebay's terms of service (as well as PayPal's I might add) every time you sell on ebay. By arranging sales outside of ebay with buyers you met via ebay, and by using services such as PayPal gift, you sir, by definition, are also a scammer. You're just scamming at a level that is acceptable to you because… -
Possible eBay scam
This auction shows an 1866-s $20 in PCGS AU55, OGH. Probably about a $9000 coin. The seller has no prior feedbacks for coin sales. While I am not sure this one is a scammer, his user name, listing habits, and location in Maryland are strangely reminiscent of a Maryland scammer who ripped off numerous bidders back in… -
Re: Another bad eBay situation...
I would give the second chance a try. It has worked for me in the past. In fact, here is one instance where it worked VERY well for me.. Around 2 1/2 years ago I was selling a 52 Topps Mantle for my future father in law. Sometime near the end of the auction the scans of the card, along with my description were stolen and…
