Standing Liberty Quarter Types - I, II and III or I, IIa and IIb
I have been a firm believer that the Standing Liberty Quarter series should have the recessed dates of 1925 thru 1930 listed as Type III. I was doing some looking on Collectors.com and they have three Type categories for the SLQ; Type 1, Type 2a and Type 2b. Just curious what the other forum members thought. Type I, II and… -

Think Bill is saying the TYPE COIN registry requirements are for 3 separate SLQ's. (Quoting the list): 25C STANDING LIBERTY, TYPE 1 (1916-1917) 25C STANDING LIBERTY, TYPE 2, (1917-1924) 25C STANDING LIBERTY, TYPE 3 (1925-1930) So, in answer to your question, they've gone with Type 1, 2, and 3 versus 2a/2b. -
