1. PSA 9 Graded Cello Pack That Has Yellow Scotch Tape On Back? 1984 Fleer

   I just got in the mail from Ebay a 1984 Fleer Baseball cello and on the back of the actual pack there is a piece of yellow aged scotch tape. Anyone ever hear of something like this? What is going on here? The pack was graded a PSA 9 with Mattingly on front. Scans coming tonight. Thanks

   That's pretty bad. Hard to imagine how Steve could let that one go by.

   A taped seal implies a popped or loose seal and the integrity of the seal is the key factor with packs. The grade isn't so much an issue if you collect unopened. I've actually had GAI return cellos with seals that popped in transit/handling as resealed packs with no authentication granted.

   regardless of the excuse of why it is a 9 holder... That pack and grade is unacceptable!

   Ok, had to adjust setting to see it more. It's in the middle going across. Looks like a yellow spot on the pack but looking closely I see it is scotch tape..
