Specialists: Name a grade rarity pop that has not budged in recent years...
I bought 1950 (17/0) and 1951 (13/0) Jeffs in PR-68 two years ago and not one PR-68 has been made in either date since ... How about in your specialties? Such an exercise, particularly amid the exploding market and heavy submissions of recent years, helps illustrate, I think, the really scarce condition rarities. -

well since you asked, the 1854-S half eagle. pcgs has graded zero. 3 known to exist. you would think there are others around? thank you heritage for the quote below. There are over 1,200 of the 1976-S Silver Kennedy Halves in PCGS MS67 and 68......yet only 1 in MS69! Happy Hunting! Brian I LOVE IKES! -

1979 P SBA$ in MS68... POP#1 has not changed since 1996. In fact all 1979-1981 SBA$'s in MS68....Total combined POP#6 have not changed since 1996 Pretty amazing that, in almost 10 years a coin that would bring 3-5 thousand dollars if made, not one coin has been graded MS68 by PCGS. The 1939 NB Merc in 69 has been a pop 1/0 coin for quite a while. You can argue whether or not this coin should be a 69 with FB designation, but the question is what grade rarity pop has not moved and this would be one of those. I miss my NB Mercs, but they went to a good home with Larry. -

not only grade rare the coins as per the below but just plain scarce/rare in three grades lower too 1878 seated liberty dime ms67 pop 2 since 2001/2002 1881 ultra cameo proof 64 trade dollar pop 1 since 1999 1834 proof 65 rb classic head half cent pop 2 for at least ten years if not more 1862 proof 65 seated dime pop 4… -

1921-P walkers ms-66 PCGS pop 3/0 1921-D walkers ms-66 PCGS pop 3/0 1921-S walkers ms-66 PCGS pop 1/0 Has been this way for a number of years now.
