The only one that I have. One of my favorite coins. Beautiful design. Edit: it’s not a 2 1/2 or a 5 dollar but I think it is one of the best designs the mint produced. Wish I could afford the Indians of this post. They are out of my price range now. -

Many years ago, before so many of these coins were “conserved” or worse, I could often/usually tell the year by looking just at the reverses. If I were to buy one of those Matte Proof coins, I'd look for one of the so-called "Roman Finish" finish pieces. I remember seeing them 30 years at about $12,000. I could not afford them then, although I did handle a couple Matte Proofs when I was a dealer. Here's one of them. There was no way I could have afforded to keep… -

Holy moly, that is a spectacularly beautiful coin and coin design. Sad that we can’t issue coins as beautiful as our early 20th century issues anymore. -

My first proof and I can’t understand why it’s a low 62 grade! Is this an older holder? Thinking of sending it in again looks perfect to me.
