   I noticed in Heritage’s mass email today, dispatched just minutes after StacksBowers auctioned their James Stack specimen for over $5 million, that the Amon Carter 1804 type III will be up for auction in conjunction with the January FUN Orlando show.    I wouldn’t want an off quality Class III, but I’d be happy to own the only gem.

   I doubt anyone seriously bidding on the 65 would settle for the AU. But maybe. Shrug
