Always wanted to get myself one of the 1/2- or 1-Puffin coins when I was working on a "1-per-country" collection, but never pulled the trigger....... And I also tried to include stamps from each country along with the coins in that set. So if you found BOTH the coin & Lundy stamps, kudos to you!! --Dave :) -

I found a stamp collection today in my town dump's swap shop. There were a ton of stamps, but when I was going through the third large box my wife noticed a coin tucked in there. It was a 1929 1/2 Puffin. I'd never heard of it but there it was stapled in a flip in quite good condition. As for the stamps I'm totally… -

The story of Lundy Island, Martin C. Harman, the 1/2 and 1 Puffin coins, and Lundy stamps is very interesting. -

Go on Dave, you know you want to :) I'm always surprised at the high quality of these Lundy coins. I think that my 1/2 is an MS65. It's like people received them and put them away immediately. -

Fun little coin. Once sold a puffin to a guy that walked into a LCS wearing a shirt with a puffin on it. -

That is a fun find! I have one myself because I collect non-eagle birds in numismatics, including Puffins. -
