Re: 1922-D Lincoln Cent variations - Share your 1922 Lincoln pics

I have two 1922-D cents. On this circulated coin, the 1 and 9 in the date are much bolder than the 2's. This one's a PCGS MS64RD in an OGH, purchased in Teletrade auction #322 on May 22, 1991 for $139.75. Those were the days! There's a small dark spot below the E in E Pluribus Unum, but it's still a great coin. -

ADD - 2/2/2026 I have now successfully added weak reverses to my collection e.g. DP #1 and DP #3. See page 2. Share a pic of your 1922 Lincoln cent. Here are a few of mine; Raw… -

I've told this story before, but in the mid 1990s my company used a design firm on West 57th St in New York, not far from the Stacks storefront. One afternoon after a meeting I popped in and mentioned I was a Lincoln cent collector. The clerk then showed me a magnificent group of Wayte Raymond boards containing complete… -

Re: 1922-D Lincoln Cent variations - Share your 1922 Lincoln pics

Reviewing the variants for 22 weak or no D, it would appear that this one I have may be an early Die Pair 3 with the distinct markers such as, wavy reverse, lower left of O in ONE appears to be starting to spread into the field, "TRUST" is weaker but still stronger than the other words "IN GOD WE", the second 2 in the date… -

Here’s mine, MS65+RD w/CAC. Those graded MS65RD and MS65+RD are very tough to get a CAC. All told, between PCGS and NGC combined, 154 have been graded either MS65RD or 65+RD. At this price point, you’d think many/most have been submitted to CAC, but only 12 of ANY version out of those 154 at those grades have their…
