Had this happen to me as well. However, real eBay buyer was legit and I shipped to eBay confirmed address—no problems. My feeling is these scammers look for recently closed auctions for high value items and ask in a separate eBay internal mail to send somewhere else. It always is a pasted address (photo) in the mail. Great that u did not fall for that scammer. 2 years ago I fell for a similar scam... I lost it because I was / am a nice guy and trusted the buyer. it was only $75. am curious: how did the buyer pay you? or is this now a secret with the new and greedy "Fee-bay" bank? -

Hey I just realized that the person who bought the coin is different than the person who messaged me. I think the person who messaged me was the scammer trying to “intercept” the package. The actual buyer may have been legitimate. Oh well I already cancelled… -
