Re: A Major Refiner/Wholesaler Temporarily Pausing the Purchase of Alloyed Silver (.925, 90%, 40%, etc.)
why wait for a long term single profit? Bullion banks (spot price market makers, JPM et. all) make a whole lot more profit when they let it go up via "natural forces" (supply and demand), sell and collect this week's profit, then knock it back down with their futures exchange (where spot price is determined) "trading"… -
Re: New Product I assume will be exclusive to APMEX
Just looks like the typical apmex mint direct holder. Guess PCGS must now certify that it's straight from tube to holder. I have purchased the apmex mint direct in the past but only when found at spot or less. Graded / first strike slabbed bullion premium is the scam of the millennium. It all milk spots and tones just the… -
Re: *** The Official SEPTEMBER Precious Metals Buy/ Sell / Trade Thread***

FS/T: North Carolina $20 2006 One ounce silver Got this in a lot of silver I purchased. When I looked it up after the deal it appears that this particular date in the series brings a bit of premium over silver content. Apparently almost 3x silver. When I purchased it I believe silver was in the $25 range and these were… -
Re: AU-55 "Cheerios" Sac found in NC

<< <i>I have this non scientific theory. There were not 5500 minted from these dies as previously thought. Since Mr DeLorey's initial discovery of/ or THE Discovery piece that was formerly owned by Mr Braddick and graded MS 66, there have been reports of NGC opening an original package containing a Sacagawea without the "… -
Re: Baltimore and Pluto! Who's going?

Three billion miles from Earth and just two and a half million miles from Pluto, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft has taken its best image of four dark spots that continue to captivate. The spots appear on the side of Pluto that always faces its largest moon, Charon—the face that will be invisible to New Horizons when the… -

Re: Will the 2021 coins arrive before we are able to add 2020 coins to our current sets?
I think January is usually when the slots become "required" -- typically the slot becomes available the first time someone gets a correct cert number and requests it to be added (or in the pre-pandemic scenario, when someone on the Registry staff happens to notice one that catches their eye and adds it on their own...) But… -

Re: 2007-D Lincoln - Is this Registry fever or what?
BECOKA, Very interesting that you say that about the SAE's. When my daughter was born in 2005, I decided that I was going to collect one PCGS MS69 and one PCGS PR69DCAM SAE for each year (all are First Strike designation). So, to date, I have acquired both coins in 05', 06' 07' & soon-to-be 08'. Well, just last night I… -
Re: Only 2 exist - 2006-W 20th Anniversary Silver Reverse Proof PR65 First Strike!!!! Any takers???

from the photos it appears there is a spot on the mirror detail and the frost, almost dead center on the obverse. if it was on the mirror detail, i woulda stabbed at it. i had a PR67 that i cracked and got the milk out of a crease on Liberty's dress. it's my display piece at home...in a capsule of course. here is what PCGS…
