I think your best approach is to just minimize the risk. Only accept CC from people you know, or people who can supply references. Only ship to the billing address on the card. Yes, that will exclude some legit customers, but it will probably screen out all the scammers. -

come on now no matter what one does scammers, con artists, and others will always be around in the real world and on the internet, nothing one can really do to get rid of these types they see people who have no idea about coins or whatever they are selling and that way they find people who will fall for these items -

Don't count on an expedient claim. PP just elected a brand new "decision maker" who lost or fired most of her experienced staff, some of them right in the middle of an open case. May be a good idea to just leave ebay to all the scammers and those who enable them and settle elsewhere. -

Looks like this guy tried to build his rep and feedback by selling a bunch of $10 or less items. He does have pretty impressive feedback...for a scammer. I too remember seeing this scam attempt from this 'seller' a couple months back. I reported him then, and I did the same now. -

My local dealer who deals heavily in bullion was shipped a couple from a scammer.He returned them since some were correct size but underweight. Others were correct size but overweight. Others were plated/painted. And the best were the ones that were correct weight but oversized!!! Lol pathetic scammers -

Wire fraud, Credit Card fraud, eBay/PayPal scams and if you try to withdrawl or deposit too much cash, you can be flagged as a possible terrorist or money launderer. There was a scammer on ebay on and off for the last few years, selling slabbed 52 mantles, I think the ebay ID was something like josefina and they would always put white pieces of paper on the card to prove they had it. The slabs were cracked open and filled with reprints, fakes, or altered mantles. Just be very careful. -

I bid on graded coins unless the raw coin pictures are detailed and without hidden marks. Many people don't and this gives ebay a bad name. The knowledgeable buyers and sellers need to report ebay scammers, counterfeiters and bad ebay deals to teach newbies. It's time we made ebay a better place. -

Northcoin I believe you are absolutely correct. Add that to the fact that dwood is defending aswimmer to his own peril, and you have to think there is more of a connection here. What it is, I don't know, but perhaps sooner or later it will come out. In any event, dwood as shown himself up with the Nazi and scammer comments.
