Re: Question for Kennedy Collectors
$550 is a great price. I think bid on the complete set w/o the 98 matte coin is $635. I would think that if your son is buying the coins individually the set will cost at least $700. I think it would be a fun set for someone just starting out because there are so many coins and none of them are that hard to find. A great… -
Re: Here's A Coin That Has It All....Love It....1815 Half Eagle
Steve, I would "value" it higher than many, many other coins (1913 Nickels, etc.), but since I don't play in that arena I wondered where it would fall comapritively, price-wise ... especially in what may be a somewhat slipping market (again, I don't play in that league, so I don't know the particulars there). It looks to… -

Re: how do you decline a low ball ebay offer ??
I just decline without saying anything, that's enough, they get the picture..... Although I had a guy bid $400 on a $650 item, I declined, then he submitted another offer for $405!!!! The second time I told him that my price was $635 and no lower offers would be accepted. I believe some guys think you are "hard up" for the… -
Re: 1939 Business Strike Jefferson Reverses
As others have indicated the PCGS pop #'s for the reverse of 38 are totally meaningless. I would guess many of the 39P FS coins are the reverse of 40. Breen probably has the best information on these coins: 39P rev of 40 - 80% of business strikes, 39D rev of 40 - 40%, 39S rev of 40 - 33%. BTW I think the varietynickel.com… -
Re: GOLD AND SILVER WORLD NEWS, ECONOMIC PREDICTIONS
gold fractal analysis update Latest update shows a very high level of energy/momentum in gold right now coupled with a 3rd "successfull" retest of the $675-$700 level in gold. According to the author, a very large potential upside with far less downside. Noted that MS64 $2-1/2 Libs fell to 5-7 year lows at $850. They fell… -
Re: Who had the ultimate career year? You decide.
Brady Anderson, 1996: .297, 50 HRs, 110 RBI, .637 SLG; career averages: .256, 19, 67, .425. (it was the only year he hit more than 24 HR). Kevin Mitchell, 1989: .291, 47 HRs, 125 RBI, .635 SLG, he had 19 home runs the year before in nearly the same number of at bats. Ron Guidry, 1978: 25-3, 1.74 ERA, .946 WHIP; career ERA… -

Re: My Gold Buffalos Have been Pre-Ordered
I also ordered one at $602 or something around that level. Shipping and handling bring it up to about $635 or so (I forget - drugs are good for that). I actually am happy to have it on order. I look forward to getting one in hand. I am not so much thinking about it as an investment or a bullion coin (even though I know it… -
Re: 1980s Wax Packs and some CU fun
Here are the results of my 1989 Pack: No stars. None of the cards were very off center. The first 5 in the list were the worst centered and were only of about 60/40. The rest of the cards had very nice centering. Corners were nice on all the cards and great on about 7 or 8 cards. #297 Oswald Peraza #112 Jim Presley #122…
