Speaking of copper spots on gold coins, I agree and have been bite by it. On a 27 saint. Gave it a look it was a 63 in a common date that looked fine . Took it out of my SdB a year latter and dang where that spot come from😤 Someone had doctored the coin then had it graded and sold it. I was pissed it was like milk spots to… -

whats considerd mirror proof doubling not actual dd...just the mirror projects the look of doubling also milk spots are not poor storgae spots, they are from washing of planchets...im an idiot and I know this...I love the way these supposed experts sell their wares. -
2019 silver proof quarter frosted die chip error?
I was looking at my 2019s silver proof set and noticed a white spot on the obverse of the AMP quarter. At first I thought it was a milk spot but looking at it closer it looks like a die chip that's frosted? What do you guys think? -

You guessed right, our friends at Shop at Home! They were like a $1000.00. I wonder if they gave a long speech about about how milk spots are toning and they command huge premiums?? You can see the spots at 10:00 and 2:30 on the 96 pictured -

I put my 1794 $ through PCGS restoration- it had a chocolate milk-like spot on the obverse- overall I’m pleased, the spot is gone, but it seems like restoration always leaves a telltale oily or shiny look to the coin (at least to me- here’s the coin see what you think) -

I bought and returned a few that said, brilliant, well struck, lustrous. They sometimes leave out things like large milk spots on proofs, or funny looking black spots. Some are nice as described. I just can't trust their descriptions, no matter what they say. They are behind the times by not giving a picture. -

Well I looked at the 1963 PR68DCAM but it looked like it had something on the coin, so I passed. There looks like there was a milk spot under his chin and then also under the T in IGWT. I now see your post above so are those spots on the holder or the coin. Thanks -
