Re: Ruth Auto
So was this shown to be a forgery? I agree with FKW it looks awfully good to me too. Ruth's auto is highly forged, heck back in the late 80's a guy from Hartsdale NY got so greedy (or stupid) or both he used a felt pen! He served a yr or 2 in the slammer for that. Went by the name of danny ducheck and ran a store named… -
What is the best way to report this deceiver?
Bob Griese spammer I asked this guy why he used the phrase PSA in his auction when he is trying to pawn off a GEM card. He sent me back a nasty response claiming it was part of cross promotion. Sort of like a Yugo dealer telling you he is offering a Lexus. Anyway how does one go about reporting this to E-Bay? Thanks -
Does anyone remember the poster "Felicia"??
The poster that once bragged about completing his 71 Topps set in 8s or better, and then was going to start a 52 Topps set "with the help of board members" and who created the "contest" to guess how much the set would cost him to put together...has turned out to be nothing but a massive scammer. While Scott was posting as… -
Re: Return privilege on "layaway?"
Seattle Slammer. I agree with you that if the terms are understood at the inception and the seller makes it clear that there is no return on a layaway then the customer can take it or leave it. However, my experience is that in offering a layaway sometimes the issue of returnability is ignored with the buyer assuming that… -
Re: Would you call this guy a crook?
I once was negotiating with this fella over an item I wanted to buy. He preceeded to take the item across the room and held it up under the lamp twisting and turning it while mumbling. Five minutes later he cames back and stammers out a price which was VERY high. I in turn said, "Can you go back and ask the lamp for a… -
Re: How hard is it to get approved for the Early Coppers group on Yahoo?--Update: I have been approved
<< <i>Can you write and essay that is 200 words long??? >> Are you kidding, he can write a question that long. The essay surprises me too, I didn't have to write one. But then I've been a member for awhile. We had some problems for a little while with people joining just to spam the list. The essay and approval process was… -
Re: $30,000 coin collection stolen in Florida
Mr. EarlyGold, With all due respect. I think Seattle Slammer handed you your hat. There are crimes committed in every state of the union. Crime also seems to have its phases. Towns or areas that were previously "high-crime" areas now are not and vice versa. Even within metropolitan areas crime locus ebbs and flows. You… -
Re: WHAT DOES RUSS, DANC AND CLARKIEOFKENT ALL HAVE IN COMMON????

ROTFLMAO!!!!! hey Clark when i was younger we used to head down to KSU at least every couple of weeks. i even managed to end up in the slammer in Oakwood back in 1974!! don't recall seeing any naked coeds, but the babes have been out in droves whenever i go there for the annual coin show. it's actually a nice town with… -

Re: What's up with these 'ebay' emails

These are spams designed to look like eBay item emails... I am on a Mac (less fear of viruses), so I clicked on the item link and it brings you to a website that has nothing to do with eBay... I didn't stay on it long enough to find out what it was... it's really an issue of fraud I suppose... someone should notify eBay…
