But in the time i've been on i've learned quite a bit i.e. - sniping, scammers etc. You guys have provided me with some pretty good advice as well as some very funny reading. If i see certain icons i read that topic no… -
Scam Ebay Auction Listing for 1796 Quarter
I don't normally post threads about ebay scams, but this one just hit me a certain way. The scammer is claiming that he is selling a 1796 quarter found in an old chest in an estate sale. The problem is, he is using the image of the Benson 1796 quarter sold by Goldberg Auctions in 2002. He claims that the B&W image of the… -

PayPal alternative. Is this legit?
I was looking at paypalsucks.net and some other anti paypal sites and there are some new companies that will process your credit card sales for less than paypal. Just have to get enough buyers to pony up with it. It apparently does not make you provide confirmation and stuff, no so much a tool for scammers as it looks like… -
Re: When is Signature Confirmation of value?
As noted, first follow the rules, above X $$ amount, use or lose. I will use it at times, if I am a little leery. I sell 50 year old car parts. Recently, I had an order from ebay of about $280 going to an apartment in New York City. Not that someone couldn't have a 1965 Mustang and live in an apartment in NYC, but that is… -
Re: The ultimate unsearched Lincoln roll gamble...
What a dirty scammer. If you were to buy the roll and pay with Paypal though, whats to keep you from returning it and getting your money back if you see you've been scammed? Isn't this what Ebay and Paypal are trying to do in making the buyer less afraid to buy with their new policies? I have several lots of coins I'd like… -
Re: eBay ID ---> shoeless-joejackson / queencity-sportscards = Kevin Burge ---> The worst seller I
What is wrong with this picture? This seller appears to be a major Scammer from what I read here A bonafide Criminal!! Yet all that is being done is TALKING about him here Has anyone every decided to file criminal charges against him? Call the local Police Call the Attorney General in North Carolina? Call the FBI? There… -
Re: Guess where these are headed?
Ebay doesn't need to ban the sale of anything collectible. Wrappers are as collectible as cards and just because a small minority of buyers use them to make packs doesn't mean they should be banned from sale. You don't ban the sale of cards because somebody might trim them and pass them off later as a higher grade. What… -
Re: can this be right?
<< <i>I would assume something is wrong here and avoid this product altogether. No, I don't see how NGC would grade a splotched coin...if there is a problem, they have NCS to turn to. Fake slab? Cracked slab with coin replaced and resealed? Violating the 'buy the coin and not the slab' rule? [edit] Maybe it was around LOTS… -
Re: What a waste of $2k!
<< <i>So let me get this straight--the seller of this card was the winning bidder of the same card from another seller but never made good on payment, but then turned around and is attempting to sell this same card to someone else using the previous seller's photo? Wow. >> Yep - took me a bit to figure it out as well.…
