Worth it to grade a 1?
After 4 years on the registry and these boards I'm contemplating actually joining PSA and actually submitting some cards to be graded. One card I was thinking of doing was a 1933 Sport Kings Ty Cobb. I won it years ago from a Teletrade phone auction (they were fun). I think they described it as F/G, but realistically it's… -
NFL Week 1
Two things stand out to me in Week 1. I think the defenses are way ahead of the offenses for week one. I wouldn't lay any big points as I feel the big favorites will struggle to cover. I think NE is off the board but I would not lay 16.5 this early. Brady didn't play much this preseason. Payton didn't play at all and I… -
2008 Topps MM 1/1 problem confession
Topps is confirming that because of a manufacturing error in the recently-released 2008 Topps Moments & Milestones Baseball, card numbers 145-189 feature more than one Red Parallel (one-of-one). By design, each of the Rookie Cards 145-189 should only have one Red Parallel (one-of-one), but because of the error the subjects… -

If a Dealer Has a Pop 1 "Classic" Coin and a Raw One...
that he knows will grade higher, when selling the slabbed coin as a pop 1, does he have the duty to reveal he has a nicer one that is raw (thereby making it the new pop 1)? I say yes. Your answer? What if he holds the raw coin for five years after he sells the slabbed coin, then get it slabbed? Still owe a duty? Edited to… -

Re: United States Mint to Produce Limited-Edition Fourth of July Declaration of Independence Quarters
one thing that would have been very cool to do - after the release of the Independence Qtr roll sets and Bags (first day sales) - the USM should have announced you would get 1 privy per bag; or 1 privy per 2 roll set. this kind of promotion would spur huge interest in those products. -

1936 Alberta $1 Prosperity Certificates - 6x Ch. Unc. w/ sequential serial numbers
These are fairly scarce (250,000 printed, all but 19,639 were redeemed), and virtually unknown in Uncirculated/sequential. I have 6 Choice Unc notes in sequence, each has 10 of the 1 cent stamps on the back. I've seen some Canadian 1920s/1930s sequential $1 and $2 notes go for huge money lately. Message me for pictures… -
Kansas secures No. 1 seed in NCAA tourney.
KU overcame a 16 point deficit to Texas today, and an incredible 25 point first half outburst from Kevin Durant, to secure a No. 1 seed. Texas was brilliant in the first half, at one point making 12 straight shots. But Kansas was resilient, somehow staying within striking distance. And early in the second half, the well…
