Re: July 2020 - Show us what ya got !!

There's a seller on eBay that I have bought countless items from over the years. His listing skills are worse than Uncle Rick, as it's usually just one or two pics, and the description is always, "You are bidding on the item(s) in the photo." He can also be a bit obtuse when the need for communication arises, but in the… -
Re: Wanna have fun and make money on wax? Buy blowouts

<< <i>My card shop owner doesn't touch any wax. When you sell wax and open some yourself you better not turn up with any decent cards or the rumors about you "searching" the wax will start flying. He does hand new boxes over the counter and let his "regulars" pick the packs they want whereas the people who come in once a… -
Re: Help Selling Krugerrand 21st Century Set

This here is the discussion side of the World & Ancient Coins Forum- there is a separate Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. But your solicitation of advice here is valid, and particularly since it's your first post, I doubt anyone will hiss at you or call you a spammer for posting the question here. You've come to an excellent place… -
Re: Opinions wanted on this Bust 25c
<< <i>Choice VF (30/35)... probably cleaned long ago but it has since retoned quite nicely. I like it! >> I'll second that opinion--decent looking coin. Coin doesn't look totally original as the color is a bit off, but we are talking bust quarters. There may be some "theoretical" totally original bust quarters out there,… -
Re: What transactions have you decided over the flip of a coin ?

<< <i>I carry an 1886 Cartwheel as a pocket piece, I can't count the times over the last eighteen years i've used it to decide if I would take someone to jail or not for a minor warrant or something small. >> I certainly hope thats not true. I would hope an officer would take several things into account when deciding… -
Re: Screwed By PAYPAL - Lost to Croatia - Help Needed!
""I didnt read your whole post - just assumed that you sold to a guy that was out the country and he "didnt get it" or you had some other problems and paypal gave him back his money. Ive had that happen to me many times. Paypal gives the guy back his money without reading all the facts. the one time with the guy from korea… -
Re: How many negs have you given or recieved on ebay?
5 seller negs given in 9 yrs - 4 seller retaliatory negs received. All this stuff is from pre-2008. If a coin is grossly misdescribed (ie scammer types) then negs are richly deserved. Why is it so hard at times to describe a coin fairly? I'd fully expect a neg in the same circumstances if I were the seller. 1- seller… -
Re: Just when you start to think ebay is a waste of time...

And this is a good thing, how? I guess it is. We all like to buy coins under their value. But I seem to remember a few days ago the rants against those who bid on silver eagles for $5 and $10 each. Those who bid on them and those who thought it was o.k. to bid on them were labeled as unethical scammers. This is a little… -
Re: re: Ebay - Does it really take 10 days for a check to clear?
Checks clear much faster than 10 days. But it can take a lot longer for them to bounce. In fact 10 business days is often not enough for bounced checks. Sometimes your bank, rather than let you know that you've gotten an NSF check back will represent the check. When this happens and it goes throught he cycle twice, then 10… -

Yes, autism is difficult to live with. No making fun of you on my part... I commend you for posting to try to get feedback and info and hope you continue to do so. WELCOME to the board, and do not retreat or leave the forum due to some of the responses. Sometimes responders can be quite abrasive, especially since there…
