Rust usually means piting, no real cure to resurect the departure of the parent metal. Surface rust can be removed by chemicals (some noted earlier) but residual damage is to be expected. -

It's three bids from one bidder. If a bidder goes in and increases his high bid but there are no competing bidders then the leading bid doesn't change. Man talk about getting owned! Verron Hayes out rushed the Eagles team by 28 yards not to mention the Bus looked 10 years younger. Just proves what a fraud defense can do. The Eagles are hoping that they don't meet up with Verron Hayes in the playoffs! JS -

Just looking for any opinion as to what can be done. Looks like rust. Could just be plain corrosion. -
Re: Rusted die or pitted/corroded surface on coppers.
From an image, it's tough to tell the difference between rusted dies and pitted coin surfaces. However, in-hand you'll see that rusted dies leave small protrusions on the coin's surfaces whereas corroded coins will show as pits on the surfaces. -
