Re: Is there a new circle of trust?
<< <i>Isn't this whole forum practically a circle of trust? I've never been to another forum where the majority of members are comfortable sending PayPal money or items in trade to unknown persons on the other side. >> While this is mostly true, there have been a number of scammers or would be scammers on BST. Some of the… -
Re: Little saddened..........please read. EBAY
<< <i>+1 for attempting to fuel the drama. >> No attempt needed. It's not like snorto is a reputable poster or anything. Snorto's scans clearly showed the holder was already broken. Blaming USPS is nothing more than an attempted diversion and he's now trying to cover his tracks. Additionally, everyone knows swapping miscut… -
Re: E-bays enforced its listing policy in regards to raw numeric grading
I really feel that this policy is an illegal practice and is a form of collusion (or perhaps designated with a similar but different definition), whether two parties are involved or not. Since eBay is 'partners' with a few TPG's and posts their services on the site it would seem to indicate such a practice as collusion.… -
Re: Ebay authenticity question
As someone who has sent a few hundred cards through the authentication program, there are no good reasons to bypass the authentication program - except for maybe getting the card a couple days faster - but the benefits outweigh the time factor. As a seller, you are protected against scammer buyers saying they got a… -
Re: haven't seen this ebay scam in years
scammer made purchase with hacked, legitimate account (ebay ID #1) then messaged me from a second ebay account (with the typical 0 feedback) to ship to different address. Ebay has since shut down the second ebay account. Important: now that payment is made from an ebay account and a paypal account is no longer needed,… -
Re: Scammed by Sirius Sports Cards
[iAnd if the package was slit open as you claim, why are you saying they scammed you? Sounds like someone stole the cards while the package was in transit. I would reconsider calling them scammers on a public message board under those circumstances. This is what all the eBay scammers rely upon. Intimidate the person that… -
Re: Paypal is holding me hostage because I got scammed, need advice
pack; I did call! They suspended me because I did not A) refund the chargeback (Yeahh!!), or B) return the merchandise and provide proof of the return to Paypal. The scammer shipped from a Mail Boxes store. I had no further contact from them (obviously), so I had no address to return the item too. I asked Paypal to furnish… -
Re: 25th anniversary silver sell off
Here's my problem with sealed boxes, suppose they hit $6000 or $7000 in the next year, now I go to sell on ebay and $7000 is in my paypal account. Now john collector schmo in Texas gets my sealed box of 5 sets and emails me, "hi, I got the box today, but there is a big problem here, I opened the box and there were a bunch… -
Re: Yet another scam to be aware of in the hobby..
<< <i>I still don't understand why someone would forge the auto to replace a real one. Why not just use a forged sticker for whatever Frankenstein card you're trying to make in the first place? If you're going to fool some uneducated buyer with a Topps foil sticker on a 2005 Topps base card, you're going to fool them with… -
Re: Would this situation upset you?
<<#6 you like to call me the scammer over and over. What kind of scammer admits his wrongdoing on the biggest coin forum in the world? I guess that makes me the dumbest scammer in the world too? I'm not the one bragging about paying 700$ for a 1700$ coin from someone. Your windfall is someone's short end of the stick dont…
