Re: Well, apparently the 1825/2 B-1 Quarter is no longer a "major" variety...

I am sure that it is my fault...as I made the case that there is really no 25/2, 25/3 or 25/3...they are all 25/4/2's. The B-1 (formerly known as 25/2) is indeed much rarer than the B-2 or B-3 (which share an obverse). Since my book came out PCGS has changed how they list the 1825's in the price guide as well. Sorry! Newbie Poppage Parts 1 and 2
Howdy all, I'm brand new to the message boards, but have been a card collector for roughly a billion years. I've been trolling the boards for the last couple of days and love that everyone shares their PSA graded lots - it's kind of awesome to see the wide variety of cards getting slabbed and collected. Not long ago, I… -
My thoughts on the 1870-S Half Dime, Silver Dollars, and Three Dollar Gold
As many know, the coins referenced in the title of this thread are some of the most enigmatic in all of American numismatics. The San Francisco Mint made no records of their production and the coins were unknown for decades. How did they come to exist? My theory: these were souvenir pieces requested by attendees of the… -
