Re: 1919 no mint i have anyone know the price on it?

Howdy and welcome. If you are serious and posting in good faith then buy a Red Book and read it. It might cost $20 or thereabouts and you really won't need to replace it but once every couple decades unless you just do ultra-modern coinage. If you aren't serious then keep posting like you have in this thread and folks will… -
Re: Winner announced of Barber Dime Freebie to be awarded to you for Most Creative Ebay coin descriptio

1961 Proof Franklin Half Dollar PR70DCAM (One hot coin!) You are bidding on a 1961 Proof Franklin Half Dollar. This coin has been in the family for ages. It belonged to my grandfather who snuck it out of the Philly mint when he worked there. On the way home he was struck by lightning for his evil deed. We found the coin… -

Re: Flippers, Certifications, and US Mint destroyed 2016 gold coins
You may be right. On the other hand, I'm guessing 2016 will generate some real sleepers that increase in value in the future--as long as there are enough people to keep collecting coins at all. Also, Congress deserves a lot of blame for mandating series such as the First Spouse series, which has sucked creativity from the… -
Re: Guy pulls 51 SUPER SHORT PRINT 2009 Heritage cards in 1 blaster

I'm not happy at all!! I agree if I opened that Box or a friend of mine I'd feel damn good I'm sure. But If you really think about it... Topps sucks on this one!t They really kicked all the Heritage collectors in the face on this one. I opened more Heritage this year than ever before. More than I'd even care to own up… -
Are GOOD coin images satisfying your coin sickness?

I gotta admit YES to a certain degree. On many issues that I'd like to have in collection....like, say Mexican revolutionary cool crude coins..... I'm just as happy with a "virtual" collection to look at as I would be the real thing. And without the "wondering" if I can find a similar crazy to sell it to when I'm done with… -
Re: Bad transaction alert(millersmint)NY
Realone- Excellent post, i agree with you. Almost 300 post here on this subject by crypto79. His post is what this forum is suppose to be about, helping fellow coin collectors. He got called names and flamed. No excuse period. I have looked at Millers Mint and i am far from impresed. Looks like they sell a ton of problem… -

Re: An innovative solution to dealers leaving early

Man, seems it's a little hot around here for dealers today. I like TDN's original thought, sounds like some nice incentive. I'd have to say I'm with the dealers on this though. They pay for the table, they can work whatever hours they like. It's thier business, if they make bad decisions they will have to live with them. I… -
Re: Would it be too risky to take a friend to the CoinFest show if he may have no interest in coins?

It depends on the person you are considering asking. If the person is one who you get along well with and who you think is open to the idea of expanding horizons by trying new things (especially if they like history), then I think extending an invite to join you at a coin show would be ok. I have done this before and it…
