eBay is so full of ***t, I reported many many fake listings, and they send me the generic email, "it's all good" They've lost my business of almost 2 decades. It's not hard to weed out the bulk sellers of crap, but they refuse to. Edited to add, it looks like they wiped out a bunch of listings, we'll see if that lasts... -

1909 Matte Proof cents Die 1 and Die 2 "notice the difference"

Notice that Die 2 obverse and reverse have better striking detail than Die 1. Notice that Die 2 has no die lines along/above the nose. 1836 2 1/2 gold. How do you guys grade it. UPDATED

I have always liked these coins, but almost everyone I see, this one included, seem overgraded or worked on to me. This coin appears reasonably original with a decent circ look and minimal distractions. I believe this coin to be a McCloskey-B, head of 1834 block 8. The holder is cracked, scratched and about to be destroyed…
