Re: Late Night Rips: 1973 Topps baseball 1st series cello pack! **Grades In--Update Last Post**
Nothing remarkable here from this pack, but the one nice bright spot was the half point bump on the Bahnsen #20, which is the scarcer "small gap in left border" variation. I see that market value on an 8 is about $85 and about $200 for a PSA 9; does anyone here with VCP know what an 8.5 would go for? 41 1 22381069 NEAR… -
Re: Seriously considering attending NYINC 2020 and looking for pointers and feedback.
As for transportation from the airport, I normally take a Korean limo service. See below for rate. P.S you can even rent by hours if you decide to travel around the boroughs. eg. 8 hours for around $300. It would be cheaper than staying in the hotel at the center of city, renting a car, finding parking or even get a tour… -
Re: Latest Sub Popped Today (Updated with scans 6/28/19) :)
Still hard to figure why some orders get done so quickly while others lag for months...I sent in 121 Topps baseball cards from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's...all base cards, all star cards...so yes, a pretty easy order to grade....received 2/19/2019 and shipped today...and it was actually done last Friday but I was… -
Re: Why such love for David Ortiz?
Originally posted by: dallasactuary The point is that this has been Ortiz's job description for more or less his entire career. What he is doing at age 40 is unprecedented in the history of baseball. << <i>Rickey thinks that Rickey needs to be part of the discussion. >> Since you go there I'll post this from my buddy's Facebook page after he bumped into Rickey a few weeks ago, during first round of the playoffs, in Oaktown. With his 8 year old son: Just had a devastating encounter - ramp behind section 121 at the… -
Re: Finally got to 100% complete on 1948 Topps Magic Photo Wrestling Set
Thanks Mike! I am only .35 from having the top set of all time so I am going to make a run at that and who knows how long it will take to overcome that one. It is nice to have it 100% complete without any culls in the lot. I also have a few other projects I am working on. I am only five cards away on a 1955 Parkhurst… -
Re: Month of January Acquisitions....what is so special to kick off the year?
first off, this holder is rather unprepossessing. sure hope the dude i bought it from takes better care of himself. "honey, i crapped myself but i decided i'm not going to change until after dinner." arguably my favorite Eldrick card, i managed to somehow BO this pup for far less than what the market dictates. rarely… -
