Welcome.... the first thing you did right was asking for advice... good start. As to what to collect?... well, that is up to you... and Seattle slammer had a good point... collection or investment? Many people here and on other boards have complained about the existence of CCW, the Coin Community Watch program. This meant that when you reported a counterfeit or a crook, the report was sent to a small group of experts for consideration and if there was agreement the listing would be cancelled and in the case of repeat… -

I am the person who listed the Bond bread cards on ebay being discussed here First of all I have pulled all 3 auctions as I have no interest in selling cards that appear to have been tampered with & because I have no interest in scamming collectors for a few measly $$$ If you read my feedback, you can see I have 99+% happy… -

That morgan...not a lot of premium, imho. Some? yes. A lot? No. 1881-S...they come nice. Even have toning. It is a nice crescent tone. The fingerprint on the obverse, to me at least, detracts from the value. Slammer is probably close to what I would say as well...maybe $50 extra -

Thanks Seattle Slammer... I know! I'm just amazed at the beauty of some of the German patterns and their cost compared to the US counterparts... maybe in another lifetime? Also I want to thank Darkmane for his dealer website post as Carl and Jade are new to me but now saved to favorites! -

hey Slammer i'm not defending NTC, but judging a DMPL by a scan is next to impossible. they rarely look good and when they do, the coin is generally raw and suspect. i'll buy holdered coins on eBay based on a scan but with a DMPL, it would have to be from a seller i knew. al h. -
