Re: 60's & 70's Display Boxes Full Of Cards ... Sale Completed.
<< <i>maybe reread Kirk's most recent post guys. he apologized for overwhelming himself and putting added pressure to demands that exceeded his expectations by a country mile. try to reflect on what he shared with us over the past couple of years, a monumental task for a collector, which is what he seems to me as more… -
Re: Congrat's to The G.O.A.T.
No one tougher then Brady between the ears and on the field. Ben is only the later. No one with more will to win. Spare me on the old timey players being tougher. That is delusional and you are waxing poetic. Im sure the guys that played in the 40's said the same about the guys who played in the 60's and 70's. I'm sure… -
Re: My New Morgan - 1890CC MS
Coin looks very scuffy on the cheek with lots of grazes and chatter. Can't even see the scratch you mention but it's probably more significant than the grazes. Don't see this as a 64, never mind a 65. Miss Liberty seems like she was trying to shave blindfolded. It's just a 63. The mottled toning patch on the obverse at… -

Re: Opinions on this Bust Dime please (updated with new pic)
do you mean, "quarter eagle production" Oops. Yes, that's exactly what I meant (but didn't say.) Bill - This coin is part of the Gardner Collection which Stacks auctioned in March of this year. If you look at the coins from this collection, you'll see they all have the same toning. I had a long talk with Harry Laibstain… -
Re: What are the top 10 marquee cards of the hobby?
Blast from the past. Landscape has changed quite a bit over the years. Fast forward 11 years and a nice boom in vintage. What are your top 10 now? Here is my baseball list in no particular order. But I had to split 10 for pre war and some for post war. Just too many important cards. Pre War: 1888 N162 Goodwin Champions -… -

Re: How to photograph coins?
What Bmarkers said. You can get exceptional results with any old run of the mill camera. Some do macro better than others. I like the Canon pocket cams for macro. The camera will give you what you need but pushing the shutter is like putting a car in drive. You can either get to your destination or drive the car into a…
